And then, we get to heat... this is extremely hot variety which gets a rating of ten from a scale of 0-10.
The heat level is not up to where Moruga Scorpion and Naga Morich etc are.
But the heat type is one of it's kind. Very raw and barbaric but still gentle in a way that it's hard to explain, It has a pleasant rise and end.

WARNING! WARNING WARNING! EXTREMELY HOT!
End of the road even for the toughest chilehead. Absolutely the hottest you can get.

Started to breed from Moruga Scorpion years ago, before Moruga Scorpion was even known to be the hottest chile pepper in the world. Here's an article about this project: http://fatalii.net/jigsaw
For the first time ever, I experienced the complete numbness on my tongue after eating a small bite of fresh chile pepper.
Check the funny video of a guy eating a piece of the Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw here http://fatalii.net/kalle.mp4
Keep out of reach of children.
Use protective gloves when processing this variety after harvesting!
Besides the horrible heat level, the taste is actually absolutely fantastic if you love the taste of the Naga Morich, 7 pot and other super hot varieties. This one is even tastier!

Fatalii Gourmet Rocato

Fatalii Gourmet Rocato

C. chinense

This extremely rare, very unique chili pepper comes from Boca Manu national park area in Peru, close to Brazil and in the Amazonas. It is therefore not surprising that it is unlike any other chinense pepper you have grown and tasted!

Rocato tastes, indeed, very different from e.g. Habanero. It has a very thick flesh which makes it resemble rocotos a lot. Except for the seeds which are tan like chinense normally are. With moderate, very comprehensive heat type and pleasant rocoto-type flavor it is quite usable for many kinds of dishes - or even for eating fresh. Smoked Rocato powder is one of it's kind, a precious seasoning with cooking.

A pretty plant, too!

Seeds are a result of a cross. Grow second generation plant from these seeds. So the results of  the germinated plant may vary.
