C. baccatumAbsolutely great variety from Curico, Chile. The taste is so good. It tastes completely different depending on the growing stage. The besting tasting pods can be enjoyed by picking them from the plant before they turn their color into red. Great as fresh practically with any food. The ordinary and smoked powder made from this variety is also insanely tasty! This variety was available all around the Finland as fresh in vegetable shelves and was made quite known in Finland by Fatalii Gourmet. The plant is easy to grow and it's extremely prolific. Ideal when picked by using staggered harvesting. Just keep picking off the largest pods and you can enjoy yield for all season long.

Lemon Drop represents hot, non-sweet, slightly lemon-flavored types of baccatum peppers (as opposed to sweet, low-heat or only moderately hot Ajis). The plant is relatively compact and produces lots of bright yellow fruit even in non-ideal home conditions.
Grows well in pots. Lemon Drop is especially great for fish dishes! Also a very good, different tasting alternative to Cayenne and other Asian-type red hot peppers.

This is most often considered to be the authentic African C. frutescens Piri Piri. As many chiliheads know. C. frutescens Piri Piri is what to look for if you want the specific type of heat and taste they can offer.
C. frutescenses are very easy to tell apart from other species from their greenish-white flowers.
Very very prolific plant. Just remove the stems (picking them without the stem which is easy) and dry them as whole in a pepper mill for example or in a various Piri Piri sauces and pastes!
Very hot pods which ripen from dark green to red. Commonly used with many African cuisines. as well as in other parts of the world.

This new version is made to be more thick fleshed. The taste of these incredibly delicious pods are little less sweet, they're much more fresh tasting and it has a 'sparkly' overtones compared to traditional Aji Fantasy. Quite compact plant for a C. baccatum. Gives amazing yields even in little lower light conditions. This variety is not that many generations old, so it’s not stable yet.
