Despite it’s name, this variety belongs to Rocoto chilis (C. pubescens). The plant can grow quite large and will be FILLED with these pods which are actually smaller than rocotos in general. They pack quite a punch and being very juicy and somewhat thick-fleshed will boost the heat level. The type of heat level is very pleasant which is typical for rocotos. It’s far from the nasty varieties which have a stinging heat level. Rocotos are more “full on fire” -type chilis. A  great one to add into any growing collection!
